What is pneumatic tube system?

A pneumatic tube system is a distribution network of tubes through which carriers of various sizes transport items to and from designated destinations. Pneumatic tube systems are used for rapid transportation of goods - providing or complementing the existing operational conveyor systems of a company.
How does a pneumatic tube system function?

A blower generates suction or compression of air that propulses the carriers through the tube network. Diverters create the possibility of extending the tube network in many directions, so that the carriers reach all the destinations of the system. Distance and height do not represent obstacles for us.Efficient positioning and appropriate size of the blower units offer limitless possibilities.

Cash-Handling Systems

Cash-handling pneumatic tube systems are used mostly for security purposes.

There are two possible systems:

-One-way system for sending from the tills to the cash office or safe only.

-Two-way system which, as well as the above, also returns change and vouchers etc. to the tills.

These systems reduce cash retention at the tills and are mainly utilised for security purposes as well as continuous flow of cash.

Multi-Functional Pneumatic Tube Systems

For decades one of the most effective application for pneumatic tube systems has been in hospitals as they have an extremely high requirement of on-site transportation. Patient documents, x-rays, medication, blood tests and laboratory samples must often be transported over very long distances by staff-members or very expensive pick-up and drop-off services. These are not only costly for the hospital, but also directly affect the quality of the service provided to patient. It is here that the benefits of pneumatic tube systems in hospitals are apparent.

Point-to-Point Tube System

The easiest way to integrate a pneumatic tube system is a point-to-point connection. These pneumatic tube systems are usually controlled by a relay-equipped main controller. Sliding sleeve stations are also frequently used as they are space-saving and cost- effective.
Point-to-point pneumatic tube systems are used in various sectors: in trade and industry, catering, banks and retail, as well as in healthcare.
